What Should You Check in Search Console Every Week?

Fifteen minutes a week in Search Console catches most problems before they cost calls. Compare clicks by page against the week before, look for new indexing errors, open the Manual Actions report, and read the queries that grew. Since September 24, 2026, Search Console also reports searches made with Google Lens and Circle to Search. That matters for trades whose customers photograph the problem first: a leaking fitting, a cracked tile, an outdoor AC unit.

The weekly check

1Performance: compare clicks by page for the last 7 days against the 7 before, and note any page that fell by a third or more.
2Lens and Circle to Search: look at which pages photo searches reach, and which job photos sit on them.
3Pages: look for new "Crawled, currently not indexed" or "Not found (404)" entries.
4Manual Actions and Security issues: both should read "No issues detected."
5Business Profile: open it the same day and check hours, pin, and new reviews.
