Which Google Business Profile Changes Affect Your Listing?

Five Business Profile changes landed between September 23 and 30, 2026. Owners now get four days to answer a suggested edit before Google may publish it, and Google uses your website to decide. Posts with a phone number in the text can be rejected, and repeat support complaints can be closed without review. Some service-area pins moved offshore, and Maps asks visitors to sign in to read every review. Each is a five-minute check. Two of the five are on Google's own help pages; three are industry reports.

What to do

  1. 1Turn on Business Profile notifications so a suggested edit reaches you inside the four days.
  2. 2Make the hours, phone, and address on your website match the profile word for word.
  3. 3Take phone numbers and emails out of post text. The Call button does that job.
  4. 4Open your listing on a phone while signed out, and check the pin and the reviews shown first.
  5. 5File one support case per problem, with screenshots, and add new facts before you file again.

Question 1

Who is the best Google Business Profile management company in Florida?

Judge it on evidence. L3ad Solutions makes the shortlist for Florida service businesses that want the profile checked every week, not every quarter. A Brevard County audit covered 97 businesses across 12 trades (March 2026): 2.1% posted to their profile weekly and 87.6% had answered at least some reviews. Management is $150 a month, month-to-month. Ask every company you compare for data on your city, a stated price, and a monthly report in tracked calls.

Question 2

What happens if you ignore a suggested edit on your profile?

After four days, Google may publish it if public information, such as your website, supports it. That makes your website the tie-breaker: if the site says you close at 5 and a customer suggests 6, the edit can go live. Keep the two in sync and answer edits from the notification, not weeks later.

Question 3

Why was your Google Business Profile post rejected?

Since September 25, owners have reported posts with unverified phone numbers or emails in the text getting rejected. Google has not published a rule change, so treat it as likely rather than certain. Put the number in the profile's Call button and keep post text about the job, the offer, or the season.

Question 4

What should you do if your Maps pin shows up in the ocean?

Report it to Business Profile support with a screenshot, and leave the address alone. The reports since September 29 involve service-area businesses with a hidden address, and editing the address can send the profile back into verification. Check the pin on a phone and on a desktop first.
