L3ad Solutions Research
TL;DR

Florida marketing prices vary 3x to 10x for the same service. A clean small-business range in 2026: Google Business Profile management $150 to $750 a month, local SEO $350 to $3,000 a month, web design $1,500 to $25,000 one-time, Google Ads management $300 to $2,000 a month (plus ad spend), full-service marketing $1,500 to $10,000 a month. We post our own prices publicly at the bottom. If an agency will not tell you a price range on the first call, that itself is a price signal.

Why this guide exists

Florida small business owners ask "what does SEO cost" or "what should I pay for marketing" and get back answers that range from $99 a month (almost certainly worthless) to $15,000 a month (almost certainly overkill for them). The honest answer depends on your city, your competition, and the actual scope being delivered. This guide gives you defensible ranges and the questions to ask so you can spot fair quotes from inflated or starved ones.

We also post our own prices publicly at the bottom. We think any agency unwilling to do that has something to hide.

The 2026 Florida price ranges, service by service

Google Business Profile management

Typical monthly range: $150 to $750

What you should be getting:

0 of 7 complete0%

Why the range is so wide: at the $150 floor, you typically get the basics (posts + review response). At $500-750, you get more strategic work (competitive monitoring, photo strategy, A/B testing on service-area settings).

Red flag: anyone quoting under $99/month on GBP management is either using cheap offshore labor with no FL context, or upselling something else.

Local SEO (ongoing service)

Typical monthly range: $350 to $3,000

What you should be getting:

0 of 7 complete0%

Why the range is so wide:

  • $350-750/mo is the realistic floor for a small Florida service business in a lower-competition market (Brevard-tier, smaller cities). At this scope, expect 1-2 deliverables per month plus baseline maintenance.
  • $750-1,500/mo funds active content production + technical work + light link building. Right for most growth-stage service businesses.
  • $1,500-3,000/mo is needed for competitive markets (Miami, Orlando, Tampa) or for multi-location operators.

Red flag: anyone "guaranteeing #1 rankings" at any price. Local pack rankings are decided by Google's algorithm, not by your agency's promise. Treat guarantees as a deal-breaker.

Web design (one-time project)

Typical price range: $1,500 to $25,000+

For a Florida service business (HVAC, plumbing, contractor, restaurant, small professional services):

Web design price tiers, Florida small business
CategoryBeforeAfter
$1,500 to $3,500Template-based or lightly customized template build. Fast turnaround. Works for service businesses with a clear, simple offering.Custom-coded simple site (3 to 5 pages) with mobile-first design, schema markup, and basic local SEO baked in. Reasonable for most local service businesses.
$3,500 to $8,000Mid-tier template work with custom design touches. Some custom photography and copy.Custom Next.js or similar modern build with proper schema, performance optimization, integrated GBP, and 5-10 pages. The sweet spot for serious local service businesses.
$8,000 to $25,000Multi-page custom site with mid-quality design. Some custom features.Full custom build with original design, custom illustration/photography, integrated CRM, multi-location architecture, and advanced features (online booking, payment, portal).
$25,000+Enterprise-tier project with extensive discovery and stakeholder management overhead.Complex multi-brand or multi-location architecture, custom CMS, e-commerce, regulated industries with compliance overhead.

Red flag: a $25,000 quote for a 5-page service business site. Unless there is a clear reason (custom photography, custom illustration, multi-location, e-commerce), that price suggests the agency's overhead, not your project's complexity, is setting the price.

Typical monthly management fee: $300 to $2,000

Plus separate ad spend: typically $1,000 to $10,000 a month for a small Florida service business.

Two pricing models you will see:

  • Flat fee: $500-2,000/mo regardless of ad spend. Good for predictable budgets.
  • Percentage of spend: 10-20% of monthly ad budget. Aligns agency incentives with growing your spend (which is a feature and a bug).

Red flag #1: quotes that bundle management fee plus ad spend into a single number without splitting them. You should always know how much you are paying the agency vs. how much is going to Google.

Red flag #2: management fees under $300/mo for ad spend over $3,000/mo. Mathematically impossible to deliver good optimization at that ratio without using cheap offshore labor.

Full-service marketing retainer

Typical monthly range: $1,500 to $10,000

For most single-location Florida small businesses, anything over $5,000 a month is usually scope-creep, not necessary scope.

What a $2,500-4,000/mo full-service retainer typically buys:

0 of 7 complete0%

When $10,000+/mo is actually justified: multi-location operations, simultaneous competition in major metros (Miami + Orlando + Tampa), or $30k+/mo in ad spend that needs sophisticated optimization.

AI Search Optimization (GEO and AEO)

Typical monthly range: $250 to $1,500

This category barely existed in 2024. In 2026 most Florida agencies still do not offer it as a discrete line item. What you should be getting:

0 of 5 complete0%

Red flag: agencies claiming AI search optimization but unable to show you the schema on their own homepage. View-source their site first; if their own LocalBusiness schema is missing, they cannot ship it for you.

Questions to ask any Florida agency quote

1

"Itemize the deliverables I am getting each month, in writing."

2

"What is the shortest contract you offer for this service?"

3

"What is your management fee versus my ad spend, separately?"

4

"Can I see another client of yours in my industry, with their website live?"

5

"What is your refund or escape policy if I am not satisfied at month 3?"

6

"What specifically happens in the first 30 days that I can verify?"

7

"What is the smallest version of this you would actually take?"

Red flags, summarized

Pros & Cons
Pros
  • Itemized written deliverables (not "10 hours per month of effort")
  • Month-to-month plans available for ongoing services
  • Management fee and ad spend split out clearly in writing
  • Specific examples of work the agency has shipped (not just logos)
  • Public Google Business Profile with verifiable reviews
  • Schema and structured data visible on the agency's own site
  • Refund policy or month-to-month escape with no penalty
Cons
  • "Guaranteed rankings" of any kind
  • 12-24 month required contracts for ongoing services
  • Refusal to give a price range on the first call
  • "All-in pricing" that bundles management plus ad spend without splitting
  • Quote heavily relies on "hours of effort" rather than deliverables
  • Cannot point to a single live client whose work you can see
  • No view-source-able schema on the agency's own homepage

Note

On posting prices. Most FL agencies refuse to post prices because the moment they are written down, the agency loses pricing power on the sales call. We are willing to give up that pricing power because we think it builds the right kind of trust. If a competitor wants to undercut us at $99/mo for SEO, they are welcome to. We do not believe they can deliver real work at that price, and we do not want clients who are picking on price alone.

Methodology notes

The ranges in this guide come from three inputs: (1) the 12 Florida marketing agencies analyzed in our Q2 2026 Diagnostic Audit plus additional pricing observation from public agency sites, (2) our own pricing as an active operator in the Florida market, and (3) cross-referenced industry survey data from sources like Clutch, Search Engine Journal's annual pricing surveys, and the Local Search Association.

These are not "the cheapest you can find" or "the most expensive you can find" prices, both of which exist. They are typical-range numbers for serious work delivered to small Florida service businesses with realistic expectations.
